Fun & High-Intensity Fitness in Victoria Park
Triple’s London Ambassador, Luisa, as we know is into practicing yoga. However, this past Saturday she headed out to Victoria Park to try out Triple host Tresa’s HIIT workout. It turns out it is the perfect way to kickstart your London weekend!
Luisa’s Weekend-Supercharging with Tresa
It is 10 am on a Saturday morning in East London, Hackney, and I am preparing to work up a sweat in Victoria Park!
I finish a quick breakfast with my flatmates, grab my water bottle and swing myself on my bike to meet Tresa and the other girls in the park for HIIT – High-Intensity Fitness Training.
Time to Get Sweating
The sun is shining and Victoria Park is already full of all kinds of sporty people. Next to the flower bed is a large group is stretching through their yoga class, next to the lake people are having their boxing class and on the big grass area, parents are playing football with their toddlers.
I meet Tresa at 10:30 am at the Royal Inn on the Park on Lauriston Road, E9 7HJ. Some of the other girls, who live close to the park and come every Saturday, are already there. They welcome everyone very friendly and exchange some Friday night clubbing stories.
We make our way to the green area close to the lake and set up mats and music. HIIT begins with a quick warm up. We move through 30 exercises for 40 seconds each. It is getting tough: shoulder strength, plank, press ups, abs, a full body work out!
Everyone is sweating away but the music is great and makes me forget about the burning quads. A cool-down with lots of stretching rounds the workout, and high-fives for everyone in the end!
After the class, we go for coffee and a well-deserved cinnamon bun to the beautiful Pavilion café next to the lake.
I feel refreshed and strong, this is how a weekend should start!
